Some Wallis Families Move to Idaho, U.s.a. From Quebec, Canada

‘Mother came to St. Louis, California, to spend the winter at William Sperry's home in Sierra Valley, in Sierra County, California. Annie McFarlane, a school mate and friend of Mama's, had come from Canada via the Isthmus of Panama, to marry William Sperry. The two girls had started out alone by boat to California, each having a sweetheart there they planned to marry.
