About a third of the folks
put up their hand in response to the last question.

I started to try and explain what kinds of material one might want to include in a personal history book. I showed a book I created for my own family that had images of ships and ship lists. I show how postcards and marriage certificates could be included. I had images of tombstones and obituaries.

Later we discussed what documents to use to research your own family history. At the end I answered questions about how to go about researching specific information.

After my hour was up we all had a chance to talk amongst each other and enjoy refreshments.
